About the Team

Workday Illuminate is delivering the new AI focused experience for Workday customers, and most importantly their employees. Illuminate is at the forefront of Workday’s AI & Agentic initiatives with the objective to deliver and integrate Agentic capabilities across the entire Workday platform, including the widespread adoption and AI powered Assist features, rapid creation and deployment of Workday-native AI Agents, and the delivering Workday’s Agent System of Record.

Responsibilities:

- Partner and collaborate with multi-functional stakeholders to prioritize, plan and deliver first-rate experiences for Workday customers.

- Drive the activities of application development scrum teams delivering innovative features for customers in key markets outside the United States.

- Co-ordinate the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and improvement of high-quality Workday product(s).

- Collaborate with Development, Product, Research/UX, Agility, Doc-writing, and Customer Support to identify, discuss and provide customer centric innovative product features and solutions.

- Understand and promote industry-standard methodologies.

- Coach and mentor team members to help them to be at their best, assisting with career growth and personal development.

- Personify and promote the Workday values of Employees, Customer Service, Innovation, Integrity, Fun, and Profitability.

About You

Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience directly managing engineering managers.

- 5+ years of experience building and directly managing impactful engineering teams.

- 10+ years of experience with design and development of enterprise software solutions.

- Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience.

Other Qualifications

- Passionate about software development and building a strong engineering team.

- Strong organizational skills with experience planning & executing complex software development.

- Exposure to agile development methodologies.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong ability to coach and mentor developers and solid experience recruiting and team building.

- Experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
