Description

This is a new role in the Placement team that has been created to meet the growth and business targets for WTW across Corporate, Risk and Broking for the Pacific region. The successful candidate will be responsible for unpacking the policy wordings from insurers to ensure brokers and clients understand their intent, of new and market leading products, and manuscript coverage on behalf of clients. Further, you will support the governance and best practice framework for contract reviews. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills. This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Perth.

The Role

You will apply your in-depth knowledge of policy contract wordings to:

- Be the subject matter expert across the various classes of insurance policies including property, general liability, motor, construction and financial lines
- Technical contribution to business initiatives and growth ambitions
- Review new insurer wordings and endorsements for use by our team for clients
- Draft manuscript wordings where applicable
- Develop and review WTW versions of key market wordings
- Engage with insurers, brokers and clients on technical policy interpretation
- Develop, support and maintain a governance framework for contract reviews
- Be the subject matter experts for contract reviews and escalation point as appropriate
- Leverage learnings from claims and performance of contracts to author timely relevant briefing papers and thought product leadership
- Lead technical training initiatives
- Support deployment of AI tools

Qualifications

The Requirements

- You possess strong market advocacy and client/carrier relationship development
- You have 2-3 years experience in insurance claims, product development or technical advisory
- You are an industry specialist and a trusted adviser
- Degree qualified preferably in Law
- As a critical thinker, you have attention to detail, and have ownership and team-oriented qualities
- Exceptional project management skills
- You have strong technical and analytical capabilities
- Your oral and written communication skills are outstanding
