OurInfrastructure businessis experiencing growth due to recently secured, high profile projects and future workforce planning requirements. Due to this growth, we are looking for aTraffic Staging Lead to assist with current project requirements in the Sydney office.
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
- Experience in a variety of project areas of traffic and road alignment design in areas involving rural, urban and highway road design including experience in consulting and construction environment.
- The ability to apply sound judgement, professional traffic engineering and related civil road design knowledge to all tasks to achieve the desired project outcomes.
- Has been exposed to contractor/live traffic environments and temporary works
- Understanding of stormwater drainage principles including aquaplaning and flow width checks
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Undertake a wide variety of design and design review tasks including but not limited to; detailed road geometry, car park layouts, statutory signage & line marking plans, vehicle turning swept paths, stormwater drainage assessments, on-road and off-road bicycle facilities, and roadside safety barrier design/assessment.
- Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to provide design advice and solutions.
- Use reference documents (e.g. Austroads Guides, TfNSW//TMR supplements and contract reference specifications) to determine appropriate standards and design requirements on a project basis.
- Assist in drawing production and review
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant design experience in civil/transport design
- Exposure and demonstrated experience in working in road Construction Environment
- Experience in writing Technical Design Reports
- Road Safety Auditor Qualification (Desirable)
SKILLS
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering Recognised
- Demonstrated experience in road design to Austroads Guidelines/ Australian Standards and Statutory Authority Supplements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills to operate collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience in the use of standard software and workflows in the execution of projects
- Proficiency with SIDRA and AutoCAD
- Ability to manage and delegate to individuals to attain quality, cost and schedule objectives
- Experience with working on projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to function with minimal supervision
- Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions
