Job Description

The role:

Join the Cater Care team as a Casual Kitchen Hand at one of our welcoming aged care residences in Wembley

We’re looking for a motivated team player who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll assist our Chefs with kitchen clean‑downs, basic food preparation, and help maintain a clean and positive environment for our residents.

Roster: Evening shifts across various days of the week, with occasional morning shifts also available

What this role involves:

- Assisting with food preparation

- Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks

- Re‑stocking as required, and after meal periods

- Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas

- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices

- Prepare and present texture modified foods

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service

- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene

- Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
