About the Opportunity
As our Risk and Insurance Manager, you'll play a key role in protecting our business operations while supporting sustainable growth. You'll work closely with various departments to identify, assess, and manage risks across our operations, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and mitigation plans
- Manage national insurance portfolios and coordinate with brokers and insurers
- Conduct regular risk assessments and maintain accurate risk registers
- Handle insurance claims management with focus on efficiency and success rates
- Investigate incidents and negotiate resolutions with stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards
- Provide expert guidance and support services to internal teams
Skills and Experience We're Looking For
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex scenarios
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities
- High attention to detail with a strategic, proactive approach to risk identification

- Experience in risk management, insurance, or related fields
- Understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
Success Measures
You'll be measured on the timeliness and effectiveness of your risk assessments, accuracy of risk registers, cost savings in insurance portfolios, claims management success rates, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction levels.
