SA Health Urgent Care Hub BRIGHT Clinical Nurse
2 weeks ago
- Central Adelaide Local Health Network
- SA Health Urgent Care Hub BRIGHT (Sefton Park/Woodville), Integrated Care
- Salary RN-2 $87,416 - $110,497 p.a. + Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits
- Full-time temporary up to 12 months
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse within the CALHN Urgent Care Hub (BRIGHT), you will be an integral part of a pioneering service dedicated to providing rapid, multidisciplinary assessment and acute care for patients with complex health needs who would otherwise require Emergency Department care.
BRIGHT operates seven days a week, including public holidays, as a same-day hospital avoidance service focused on supporting early discharge from acute sites and preventing unnecessary ED presentations and inpatient admissions. Through early intervention, restorative care, and effective care coordination, BRIGHT delivers person-centred, community-based care that improves patient experience and outcomes.
Working alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert nursing care including assessment, clinical interventions, and care coordination in a clinic setting. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with a broad network of partners—including General Practitioners, SA Ambulance Service, pathology, pharmacy, acute services and community organisations—to ensure seamless, integrated care.
You will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support the professional development of colleagues, all within an environment that values innovation, teamwork, and excellence in patient-centred care. This is a rewarding role for nurses passionate about making a tangible difference by helping people receive high-quality care in the community and reducing reliance on hospital services.
About You
You are a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. With strong clinical expertise and leadership ability, you are ready to contribute to a multidisciplinary team and support clients with complex health needs.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing Board of Australia, holding or eligible to hold a current practising certificate
- Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience, with proven competence in nursing practice and clinical assessment relevant to the role
- Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior staff, supporting discharge planning for complex patients, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives
