The Investigations Manager reports directly to the General Manager Investigations and offers an extraordinary opportunity to manage and conduct investigations both internally and externally as required. The role works collaboratively with all levels of management to help identify, record, and report illegal activity at The Star Gold Coast.

Responsibilities

- Managing a team of investigators in a high-volume environment.
- Liaising with external law enforcement and regulatory bodies (eg. Police) to ensure that necessary investigations are carried out so as to minimise potential cost or loss to the company.
- Conducting high level investigations and inspections as well as gathering intelligence which ensures the protection of employees, customers, company assets and reputation.
- Investigating non-compliance with all regulatory requirements and making control recommendations to limit the potential for like conduct to occur in the future.
- Build relationships with key internal stakeholders and raise visibility of the Investigations function by the promotion and delivery of awareness and education sessions.
- Collecting, analysing and, where required, providing relevant intelligence information to business units.
- Assisting Safety and Security and Surveillance departments as required.
- Maintaining a constant vigilance to identify, record and report illegal or undesirable activity, including activity which affects revenue or the integrity of gaming.

What we are looking for

- Extensive experience in workplace, regulatory or criminal investigations.
- Experience gained within a high governance environment or highly regulated environment will is desirable.
- You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, supporting your ability to undertake effective root cause analysis and problem solving.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with superior influencing skills across multiple complex stakeholder streams.
- A genuine passion for, and commitment to mentoring and developing staff.
