About the role and where you will be working:

We are currently seeking dedicatedCare Workers to join our friendly team at Joseph Cooke House in Shelley. Shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, and nights on a part-time or casual basis.

In this role, you will provide compassionate support to our residents, assisting with daily activities such as personal care, showering, and dressing. Most importantly, you will help create a safe, comfortable, and homely environment where our residents feel valued and cared for.

We’ll also be asking you to:

- Carefully read & follow care plans
- Assist with personal care (e.g. showering)
- Work under the guidance of Shift Managers (Nursing & Facility)
- Treat our residents & their family with respect
- Show compassion & exercise patience

About you:

You are compassionate, reliable, and enjoy supporting elderly people in their daily lives. Whether you are seeking different hours while already working or volunteering in the community, or you’ve recently completed studies and are ready to begin your career in aged care, you are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and are dedicated to providing high-quality care.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

- A Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support
- Initiative & the ability to effectively prioritise & multitask
- Great communication skills (spoken & written)
- Attention to detail for good record keeping
