About the opportunity:

Empower our customers through Individual Services in North Parramatta to achieve their life goals and independence.

We offer multiple casual support worker positions with a pay rate of $33.42/hr + superannuation + salary packaging + casual loading.

Role Requirements:

- Experience working with people with disabilities and ageing customers.
- Manual Handling – customers require assistance due to mobility deterioration.
- Challenging behaviour Experience – we have customers with complex health and behavioural concerns.
- Varied rosters are available across 7 days, and flexibility is highly regarded for this position.

Typical duties might include:

- Personal care includes bowel care, various equipment and aids, and other health and hygiene needs such as medication, dressing, toileting, and showering.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their care plans, including goals.
- Empower to establish effective communication with customers using an individualized approach, using whatever means of communication is appropriate for each individual.
- Implementing and reviewing Individual Program Plans.
- Record the progress of each customer in line with relevant documentation.
- Devise and facilitate program activities and workshops with customers and other support staff.
- Support and actively encourage customer participation in decision-making about their program and service.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

- A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
- 5 weeks annual leave (for permanent employees), salary packaging to increase take-home pay, health and wellbeing benefits, gym membership, and an insurance discount.
- Regularly, staff start as casual and can convert to permanent based on performance and availability.
- Opportunity to work across multiple locations and apply for internal management or corporate services roles.
