Warehouse Operator - Casual

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operator to join our high-performing and friendly team at our Distribution Centre in Devonport, TAS, employed on a casual basis with possible weekend work included. This is a casual position, but there are plenty of hours available.

About Your Position:

- You will play a key role in the overall success of our operations by helping ready quality fresh produce for distribution to stores across Tasmania. Duties include:

- Picking accurate orders to customer requirements

- Inventory management

- Keeping the warehouse and surrounding areas clean and safe to store fresh produce

- Stack pallets so stock won't be damaged in loading or in transit

- Working in a refrigerated environment

- Operating electric pallet jacks

- Manual handling, with repetitive lifting of stock up to 20 kg

About You:

- Previous warehouse (or similar) experience preferable

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Willing to work together to achieve results

- Basic computer skills

- Attention to detail whilst working in a fast-paced environment

Costa Group is Australia's leading grower, packer and marketer of fresh fruit and vegetables. Costa supplies quality fruits and vegetables to all major Australian supermarket chains as well as independent grocers and food industry stakeholders. We also export to Asia, North America and Europe.

Our operations include more than 7000 planted hectares of farmland including berries, citrus and table grapes, avocados, bananas, mushrooms and tomatoes. We have 40 hectares of tomato glasshouse facilities and three main mushroom growing operations.

In addition to our growing operations, Costa’s Wholesale Trading and Logistics division operates wholesale produce market sales, providing and supply chain functions, with temperature-controlled facilities and operations in most states servicing the needs of our Costa Categories as well as retail, FMCG and foodservice customers.
