About the Practice:
Our Bupa Dental Toowong practice is well known for its cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, implants and general dentistry. We are a solid, stable team looking for an Assistant Practice Manager as we prepare for a significant growth in customer volumes. Team dynamic is incredibly important to us in our 6-chair practice. The Opportunity:
We have a versatile, exciting and rewarding opportunity at our Toowong, QLD practice available for a dedicated Assistant Practice Manager seeking permanent full-time work.
The Heart of the role:
- Supporting the Practice Manager in coaching, leading & developing a high performing practice team in a positive environment for both staff and patients
- Assist with overall financial performance of the practice in line with the approved budget
- Contribute to and assist in facilitating regular team meetings
- Patient management; greeting and welcoming patients, answering all phone enquiries, making & confirming appointments; checking, processing & managing customer accounts
- General administration including processing payments using EFTPOS & HiCaps
- In the absence of the Practice Manager you will be required to step into the role of Acting Practice Manager
- Effectively manage the recruitment & selection for all practice staff
What you'll bring:
- No dental knowledge needed, we are looking for a good leader with admin skills willing to learn dental
- Prior business and people management experience essential
- Proven track record of strong organisational skills, administrative and time management
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, customer service skills and strong business acumen
- Understanding how to generate income and control costs
- Able to face into difficult conversations & deal promptly with issues when they arise
- Comfortable conversing with people from all walks of life, including dentists, patients, and your practice team
