Deputy Principal: Learning and Teaching

St Lawrence of Brindisi Catholic Primary School is one of Melbourne's newest and fastest-growing Catholic primary schools, having opened in January 2022. We are seeking applications from skilled, enthusiastic, innovative educators with a demonstrated leadership capacity for the role of Deputy Principal: Learning and Teaching. Applicants will need to possess a thorough knowledge of and capacity to support staff in the implementation of a curriculum framework in a primary school setting and a contemporary Catholic Religious Education curriculum. An understanding of the Victorian Curriculum, the MACS Vision for Instruction, and the MACS RE curriculum is preferred.

We are looking for a school leader who demonstrates the capacity to build nurturing, professional relationships with students, staff and parents. They must be open to professional growth and learning and have the capacity to provide targeted support, mentoring and feedback to staff. Applicants must possess highly developed administrative and communication skills.

Applicants must have a current VIT registration (or the capacity to gain this) and should have experience working in a Catholic school setting. Applicants with a current VCEA Accreditation to Teach in Catholic School (or interstate equivalent) are preferred. These positions will commence on January 27, 2026.

- a demonstrated capacity to provide high-level leadership skills in a primary school setting, including strong administrative skills.

- a willingness to engage collaboratively with students, staff and the wider school community.

- strong communication and interpersonal skills.
