The Role
A role reporting directly to the National Product Development Manager, you will plan, coordinate and execute product development of vegetable variety trials for the Australian market. A strategic yet hands-on role, you will focus mainly on the covered cropping market and work closely with suppliers, growers and internal teams to achieve business objectives and market demands.
- Product Trials: Plan, coordinate, and execute local product trials across regions and crops, focusing on tomato, capsicum, and cucumber
- Annual Trial Programs: Develop and implement annual trial programs, collecting, analysing and reporting performance data
- Collaboration: Work with international breeders and suppliers on trial outcomes and product selection
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, grower requirements, and competitor activity to identify opportunities
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to sales and customer service teams including clients
- Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with growers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders
- Representation: Represent Terranova Seeds at industry events, field days, and customer visits
About You
We are keen to hear from you if you have the below experience and background:
- Exceptional stakeholder and engagement skills able to deal with a wide range of breeders and suppliers
- Experience in product development, crop trials, or technical agronomy
- Knowledge of vegetable crops and production systems in the Australian market
- Strong planning, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret and present technical data effectively
- Willingness to travel within Australia and occasionally internationally
- A tertiary qualification in horticulture, agronomy, or a related field
