Award/Classification: Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 6 Employment type: Permanent, full-time Region: South Location: Seeking a Senior Taxation Analyst to join the Business and Finance Support team, based in Hobart. This is a senior specialist role with attractive remuneration and employment arrangements. The Team: The Taxation Unit is responsible for ensuring the Department’s compliance with its Australian Government Taxation and Superannuation legislative obligations. The Role: Working closely with the Manager, Taxation, the Senior Taxation Analyst provides technical advice, training and assistance to senior management and operational staff throughout the Department on procedures and policies including collating and analysing all relevant data for the purpose of determining the Department’s taxation and superannuation liabilities. You will need: - Strong communications skills with the ability to work through technical taxation and superannuation issues with a wide variety of stakeholders - A solid understanding Taxation and Superannuation legislation and the ability to apply your knowledge to issues relevant to the Department’s legislative obligations - Ability to interrogate financial systems and provide high quality technical analysis and advice across the Department. Details of appointment: Permanent full time day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
