Be part of it and shape your world.**About the Role**An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Physiotherapist that will work across our Portland Smelter operations and provide specialised service in the management of musculoskeletal disorders in the workplace.Reporting through to the Clinical Nurse Lead, with support from the Western Australian Human Factors & Ergonomics team (including Physiotherapists), your musculoskeletal knowledge and expertise in this field will cover an interesting scope including early intervention, assessment, treatment, and proactive workplace management to maximise patient capacity, improve outcomes and minimise risk.In this role, your key responsibilities will involve:* Triaging and managing patient caseload according to clinical priorities and service needs whilst ensuring early contact and review for all musculoskeletal injuries utilising a variety of methods (phone, telehealth, face to face) consultations.* Clinical assessment of musculoskeletal disorders, development of treatment and management plans, and the provision of clinical Physiotherapy treatment and exercise rehabilitation programs.* Assisting the Health & Safety team with development and implementation of education and coaching of personnel involved within the injury management process to increase understanding of musculoskeletal injury assessment and management.* Assisting the Health & Safety team by contributing musculoskeletal subject matter expertise to injury investigations, and guiding action plans to prevent reoccurrence.* Conducting workplace assessments and providing recommendations to site rehabilitation consultants and line management to improve rehabilitation case management outcomes and timeframes.* Providing support to the Human Factors team, including the completion of Ergonomic and Psychosocial Risk assessments.**What’s on offer*** Attractive remuneration and variable bonus plan.* Employee growth and development opportunities.* Parental leave support for all caregivers.* Paid employee volunteering hours within our community.* Alcoa Live Well program offering travel, lifestyle, health and wellbeing discounts.* Generous leave entitlements including a leisure a day off every 4-week period**What you can bring to the role*** Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy* Being registered with the appropriate professional body AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.* Demonstrated relevant clinical experience with a proven track record in outpatient musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Experience in exercise rehabilitation, Human Factors & Ergonomics, strength training or Occupational Physiotherapy would be well regarded.* Although not necessary, previous industrial experience with understanding of current work, health and safety legislation, as well as the understanding of adopting a risk management approach to injury prevention and management would be well regarded.* Although not necessary, progression towards a post graduate qualification would be well regarded.**Additional information*** Interviews may progress prior to the closing date, although all applications will be considered.* You will only be contacted if you are shortlisted for an interview, this process can take up to four weeks from the closing date.#LI-MC1 **About the Location**Our Portland Smelter is a joint venture between Alcoa of Australia (55%), CITIC (22.5%) and Marubeni Aluminium Australia (22.5%).
