What you'll do As a Learning and Development Officer, you will build workforce capability through innovative learning experiences. Your day-to-day activities include collaborating with team members on resource creation for individual or group use, consulting with stakeholders to identify training needs, and developing plans aligned with strategic objectives while managing budget considerations. You will research new approaches in adult education and leverage e-learning platforms to drive continuous improvement. Your coaching will support leaders in nurturing talent, and you will contribute to policy development while handling administrative tasks such as event logistics and LMS management. Success comes from enthusiasm for knowledge sharing, attention to evaluating programme effectiveness through data analysis, and building positive relationships across the organisation. - Collaborate to plan, develop, deliver, review, and maintain learning resources, projects, and programmes aligned with organizational strategies. - Support training needs analysis by preparing training plans, considering budgets, and producing detailed reports for internal clients and management. - Research external learning solutions by evaluating options, managing procurement, and reviewing effectiveness to ensure quality outcomes. - Assist stakeholders in developing their teams through coaching and mentoring initiatives. - Collect, analyse, and apply data to evaluate learning effectiveness and implement continuous improvement. - Establish relationships with internal colleagues and external partners to enhance collaboration on learning initiatives. - Contribute to policy development as part of the learning strategy framework. - Produce timely, cost-effective learning solutions that meet evolving organisational needs while upholding high standards of quality. - Manage end-to-end administrative activities related to learning events, including logistics and LMS administration. What you bring To excel, you will have substantial experience designing or delivering educational programmes, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of adult education theory to create accessible content. You should have technical ability with office software and familiarity with digital tools that enhance remote or blended learning. A collaborative mindset with coaching or mentoring experience will help you thrive. Analytical thinking to interpret feedback and drive improvement is important. Formal qualifications are valued but not essential; what matters most is passion for helping others learn and demonstrated success in similar settings. - Experience in a learning and development or educational environment with significant contribution to resource creation or programme delivery. - Strong communication skills for engagement with stakeholders at all levels. - Understanding of instructional design principles and facilitation methods for adult learners across formats. - Experience applying inclusive learning principles ensuring accessibility for diverse audiences. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with e-learning platforms is desirable but not essential. - Experience supporting coaching or mentoring initiatives to develop staff capabilities. - Strong analytical skills to collect data on learning outcomes and drive continuous improvement. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, including event logistics and LMS administration. - Relevant tertiary qualifications in Adult Education, Organisational Development, Digital Design, or Training & Assessment are highly regarded but not mandatory.
