About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting and developing others in aged care? We are seeking a dynamic Workplace Educator to join our team for a 6-month full-time contract, working across our Villa Maria Fortitude Valley and Eastern Heights homes. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with a strong background in education and training, who is committed to enhancing the knowledge, skills, and performance of our residential aged care staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver induction and onboarding programmes for new employees, ensuring all required competencies are completed within the first week.
- Facilitate and deliver ongoing education and training to all staff, supporting compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Conduct training needs analysis and develop learning plans to address identified gaps.
- Support and mentor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
- Utilise blended learning methods and adult learning principles to maximise engagement and competency.
- Monitor and report on compliance with training and onboarding plans, escalating issues as required.
- Collaborate with managers, HR, and clinical teams to ensure training aligns with organisational needs.
About You
- Registered Nurse (AHPRA registration) preferred.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
- Demonstrated experience in delivering education and training programmes, ideally within residential aged care.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, aged care legislation, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel between Fortitude Valley and Eastern Heights locations.
- Strong customer-centric approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
