Massage Therapist – Casual (2 days per week)

About MSWA

MSWA is a not‑for‑profit organisation supporting over 2,000 clients living with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, and Parkinson’s. Our Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology Services team consists of more than 60 skilled professionals who empower people to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct client assessments to understand individual needs and goals

- Create tailored treatment programmes that address specific conditions and preferences

- Apply therapeutic massage techniques, including cupping and dry needling (if qualified)

- Assist with client transfers using appropriate mobility aids and equipment when needed

- Educate clients on self‑care exercises to extend the benefits of massage therapy

- Maintain a clean and safe environment, sanitising equipment and ensuring proper hygiene protocols

- Manage client bookings and handle administrative tasks as necessary

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate IV in Massage Therapy (or equivalent)

- Current First Aid & CPR certification

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

- A valid Australian “C” Class Driver’s License with no restrictions

Desirable Skills

- Advanced Diploma in Remedial Massage

- Training in specialised techniques such as cupping, dry needling, etc.

- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist

- Experience working with people with disabilities

- Knowledge of manual handling techniques, transfers, and mobility equipment
