Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Centric Projects Full time
Are you a strategic IT leader ready to make lasting impact in just three days a week?

Expo Centric is looking for an experienced Part-Time IT Manager to join us in Sydney on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension. In this critical role, you'll design and implement the foundational IT processes, documentation, and governance frameworks that our support and technician teams will rely on for years to come.

You'll collaborate with our global teams to establish infrastructure standards, streamline operations, and ensure end-to-end IT readiness across all locations. This is a high-trust, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in project-based work, understands hybrid environments, and knows how to guide teams without micromanaging.

What You'll Do

- Build and embed scalable IT processes, SOPs, and system governance frameworks.

- Guide the Senior IT Technician and junior staff by setting operational policies, access protocols, and documentation structures.

- Lead IT audits of current infrastructure, backups, device management, and licensing compliance.

- Provide part-time oversight and strategic alignment for ticketing platforms, remote access, and vendor coordination.

- Design a multi-year roadmap outlining infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system integration goals.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to implement process automations using Microsoft 365 tools (Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams).

- Conduct vendor performance reviews, contract evaluation, and systems lifecycle planning.

What You Bring

- 7+ years of progressive IT management experience, including multi-country or remote team oversight.

- Proven success establishing IT departments, SOPs, and support workflows from the ground up.

- Strong technical experience in Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams), Datto, IT Glue, and Kaseya Autotask.

- Knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity frameworks, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA preferred).

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train, document, and engage stakeholders at all levels.

- Strategic thinking with the ability to analyse current infrastructure, design future-state models, and deliver measurable improvements.

Why Join Expo Centric?

- Set the foundation for a scalable and efficient IT operation across international teams.

- Flexibility to work 3 days per week in a hybrid setup.

- Play a lead role in defining how technology supports a growing, project-based business.

- High trust, low hierarchy environment — your ideas and systems will shape future outcomes.
