Overview
Our client is currently looking for an AI & Automation Specialist who can help drive a suite of new use cases designed to boost efficiency and productivity across a large, complex organisation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work with a variety of stakeholders to design, build and roll out intelligent automation and machine learning solutions — all while uplifting digital capability across the business.
Initial contract until December 2025 with possible extension
Flexible work arrangements – WFH and Brisbane North or Sunshine Coast location

What you’ll bring to the role
- Degree or postgraduate qualifications in computing, IT, or related fields.
- Certifications in AI or automation technologies are highly regarded.
- Experience designing and deploying intelligent automation and machine learning solutions.
- Familiarity with responsible AI practices and emerging AI technologies.
- Ability to research, assess, and implement AI strategies aligned with institutional goals.
- Proficiency in low-code platforms (e.g., Power Platform).
- Strong understanding of automation patterns and integration frameworks.
- Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining automation solutions for business and IT processes.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, configuration management, and deployment pipelines.
- Ability to support citizen developers and promote digital capability uplift using Microsoft technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including training delivery and documentation.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and contributing to sector-wide initiatives.
- Ability to deliver training and support for AI and automation tools.
