An opportunity exists for an experienced and strategic National Safety and Wellbeing Manager to lead health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across a complex, multi-jurisdictional organisation. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering a national strategy that supports the safety, wellbeing and compliance of all staff, students and visitors.

Your impact:

- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive health, safety and wellbeing strategy.
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders on WHS risks, compliance and critical incidents.
- Oversee the Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS), workers’ compensation, return-to-work programs and EAP provider relationships.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation across multiple jurisdictions and embed best practice across the organisation.
- Build strong internal and external partnerships and lead organisation-wide auditing, reporting and improvement initiatives.
- Inspire, manage and mentor a high-performing team of safety and wellbeing professionals.

About you: You’re a confident leader who brings:

- A degree in WHS, Occupational Health, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
- In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and systems across diverse sites.
- A proven track record of developing and delivering integrated safety and wellbeing strategies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including experience advising executives.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, values-driven and regulated environment.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and complex risk environments.
