Objective of The Position:
· To assist in the provision of high-quality daily meals.
· To help build a positive dining experience for the clients of our restaurant.
Qualifications/experience:
· Experience in food preparation and cooking for large numbers of people.
· Qualifications in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery.
· Hygiene for Food Handlers Certificate.
· Good communication skill.
Responsible for: Maintaining efficient management and delivery of food services.
Accountable to: Manager /Owner
Performance appraisal: Three months after appointment, then at least annually and/or when required.
Job Descriptions:
· Plan and update menus and specials in collaboration with management, ensuring seasonal relevance and customer appeal
· Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with consistent quality, presentation, and portion control
· Estimate food and labour costs, and manage ordering and inventory to align with budget targets
· Monitor the quality and hygiene standards throughout all stages of food preparation and service
· Train and guide kitchen staff on cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and safety procedures
· Collaborate with front-of-house staff to address dietary requirements and special orders
· Minimize waste through efficient stock control and portion management
· Enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations
Requirements:
· Previous experience in similar role
· Have a passion for great food and presentation
· Ability to prioritize, set goals, and a determination to achieve them
· Experience in kitchen operations and staff training
· Experience with menu creation and costings
· Experience in stock control and wastage minimization

Employee must at all time act honestly and in a manner that is consistent with the statues of his position.

Employee must not disclose or use in any manner (except in the proper course of your employment, by compulsion of law, or on the written direction of authorized officer, unless the information is already legitimately in the public domain. The obligation extends for a period of 24 months even after the employment is terminated.

The employee wage is to be kept strictly confidential and is not being discussed with any other employees in the business.
Remuneration:
$70,000- $80,000+ superannuation
