We are establishing a 24 month appointment pool for vacancies that may arise. We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.

As a Lecturer, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and delivering top-tier training that equips students with the knowledge and hands-on skills they need to thrive in the landscaping industry. Your core responsibilities will include:

Relevant Qualification and Experience
To be eligible for employment you must hold AHC30921 or AHC30916 Certificate III in Landscape Construction and possess a minimum of five years’ relevant industry experience.
There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).
Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however North Metropolitan TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement.

Eligibility for employment is subject to you obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance and, if this position involves contact with children, a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
To be eligible for appointment you must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
