Role Details

Curtin University's School of Nursing invites applications from motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team as a Lecturer (Teaching Academic) in the Paramedicine discipline. Two permanent, continuing positions are available with flexible options for full-time or part-time work.

- Teaching responsibilities include use of online, distributed, and face-to-face instructional methods to enhance student learning.

- Collaborate on curriculum design, assess student needs, provide tailored support, and supervise postgraduate and honours students.

- Engage in ongoing professional development and manage related administrative tasks.

- Support the transition of first-year students to university and provide equitable assistance for diverse populations.

Who We Are Looking For

- Registered as a Paramedic with AHPRA registration.

- A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role).

- Demonstrated high-level teaching skills and a reflective approach to teaching delivery.

- Strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.

- Emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.

- Demonstrated experience/capacity to undertake unit coordination.

- High-level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a commitment to a collegial and supportive working environment and cross-cultural sensitivity.

- Commitment to applying relevant policies, procedures and legislation in day-to-day performance of the role.
