Ventia is seeking a Network Environmental Advisor to join our Transport sector on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this dynamic role, you’ll lead the environmental, training, and quality assurance aspects of the project, ensuring our services meet the highest standards outlined in the Maintenance Agreement across five managed assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver components of Environmental Management Programs, including reporting and initiative management.
- Monitor and report on project performance, achievements, and new environmental initiatives.
- Identify and implement environmental improvements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Maintain and update the Maintenance Environmental Management Plan and Sustainability Management Plan.
- Prepare and review site-specific environmental documentation (e.g., WEMPs, operating procedures, work method statements).
- Guide teams in setting environmental and sustainability objectives and KPIs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits.
- Lead incident reporting and investigations related to environmental and sustainability matters.
- Manage environmental impact assessments, permits, and licenses.

About You

- Proven experience as an Environmental Advisor, Engineer, or Officer.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering or Science (Diploma holders may be considered).
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation and quality standards.
- Experience with accredited management systems and auditing requirements.
- Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Holder of a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Certified Lead Auditor in one or more disciplines: Quality, Safety, Health, or Environment.
- ICAM Lead Investigator training is a plus.
