Located in Bibra Lake, the business has been in operation for over a decade and plays a key role in Western Australia's tourism and leisure industry. The company serves thousands of customers during peak periods, driving a substantial number of financial transactions across various departments. With a lean team structure, the business seeks to strengthen its finance function by investing in systems automation and operational improvements. The company is on a path to modernise its finance operations and is looking for someone to support this journey and contribute to the strategic goals of the organisation.

About the opportunity

This dynamic opportunity is suited to a senior finance professional with leadership experience and a background in high-volume environments. The role leads a small team and works directly with the CEO, playing a critical role in reporting, compliance, and financial strategy.

In this role, you will:

- Deliver accurate and timely board reporting, budgets and forecasts

- Lead payroll, accounts payable, and monthly financial processes

- Identify and implement automation opportunities, especially in AP

- Maintain compliance with HR/IR legislative changes and reporting requirements

- Drive financial insights via Power BI and other reporting tools

You will oversee end-to-end finance operations, including budget preparation, board pack reporting, compliance, and payroll processes. This is a hands-on leadership role with strategic influence and the opportunity to systemise and improve reporting accuracy and timelines. The business is transitioning from manual systems and offers the chance to lead this evolution in finance automation and team upskilling. The successful candidate will contribute to the business's growth by supporting commercial initiatives and improving cost controls.

About you

You are a finance professional with leadership experience in a similar high-volume, transactional environment. You understand the demands of seasonal operations and can manage competing priorities while driving team performance and system improvements.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance (CPA or CA preferred)

- Experience with P&L, cash flow, board reporting, and compliance

- Experience in hospitality or retail transactional environments

- Knowledge of payroll and award interpretation

- Familiarity with automation projects and Power BI reporting

- Experience leading small finance teams and coaching junior staff

- Ability to liaise across departments and hold stakeholders accountable

- Full Australian working rights

- Willingness to complete police clearance, medical and drug & alcohol testing
