With clinics located in Burleigh Heads and Ormeau, we provide a space where individuals with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions can train, set goals, and see what’s possible—supported by a team that truly cares. We’re currently looking for a Remedial Massage Therapist who wants to make a real impact—not only on muscle recovery but also on confidence, quality of life, and progress beyond traditional rehab. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Remedial Massage Therapist to join a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team in a part-time capacity—with the option to grow into a full-time caseload. Your role will involve working closely with our Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, and Osteopaths, using hands-on treatment to support client recovery, reduce discomfort, and complement neurological exercise therapy. You’ll have the freedom to work within fully equipped, furnished treatment rooms at both locations, with all consumables provided. We’ll support you with on-site training in manual handling techniques, so you can confidently work with clients who present with a wide range of physical needs, mobility levels, and assistive equipment. Key Responsibilities - Deliver safe, effective remedial massage therapy sessions tailored to individual goals and rehabilitation needs - Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, EPs, and osteopaths to align treatment with ongoing therapy and functional training programs - Engage clients with compassion and professionalism, helping them feel supported, understood, and empowered - Maintain accurate session documentation and communicate effectively within the team - Be open to learning and applying adaptive manual handling techniques specific to neurological rehabilitation What You’ll Bring - Diploma of Remedial Massage (or higher) - Relevant association membership and current health fund provider status - Confidence working with a broad range of clients, including those with mobility challenges - Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to collaborative, client-centred care - Passion for working in a rehabilitation environment—and ideally, experience supporting clients with neurological conditions - Additional qualifications in Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology are welcomed but not essential.
