About the Role
Join our Mackay Cancer Centre as a Radiation Therapist on a full-time, fixed‑term contract. You’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality radiation therapy planning and treatment as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. This position reports to the Clinical Lead Radiation Therapist and operates on a 9-day fortnight schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient‑centred radiation therapy planning and treatment in line with all safety and quality standards
- Maintain exceptional patient care and continuously enhance service quality and experience
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective patient care
- Demonstrate respect, dignity, and equality in all patient interactions
- Contribute to a high‑performance, patient‑centric culture through teamwork and collaboration
About You
- Proven technical expertise in radiation therapy planning and delivery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and confidence with stakeholders
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality radiation therapy services
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and procedures
- Understanding of private healthcare service delivery models
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current AHPRA registration as a Radiation Therapist and QLD Radiation Use Licence
