genU Training is looking for a purpose-driven and adaptable Sessional Trainer with a background in retail, to open doors through education. As a trainer you'll share your skills, inspire learners and make a real impact across student's and young people's lives across Perth and WA.

genU Training is a division of genU that delivers valuable, job-ready and nationally recognised qualifications and vocational short courses. We advocate for expanded education and training options to people who live with a disability, are long-term unemployed and those most vulnerable in the community.

We are planning for these programmes to run from early 2026 from term 1 through to term 4 but encourage early applications.

What you’ll do

A Sessional Trainer at genU Training, you will deliver courses give learners the chance to take a small step that leads to big opportunities - helping them become job-ready, grow their confidence and achieve lasting change. In this role particularly, you will:

- Engage with diverse cohorts of young people, including disengaged students and young people with disability to help these students make the leap from school life to gaining employment or further VET study through this qualification.

Deliver a Certificate II in Retail Services onsite to groups of young people.

Collaborate with the genU Training team to share ideas, support each other and keep improving what we do.

What you’ll bring

- You’re a qualified trainer (TAE40116 or equivalent) who loves helping others succeed.

- Recent industry experience in a retail setting.

- Thoughtful communication with great people skills, organisation and initiative.

- Comfortable with tech and able to manage course materials, reporting and assessments independently.

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
