As a proud Thiess company, MACA will provide specialist civil construction services at a greenfield copper mine in North West Queensland, located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People.

MACA is seeking a HD Fitter with Civil experience to join our team working on this exciting new project on a 2:1 roster.

Locals in North West Queensland, including Members of the Kalkadoon community and other First Nations people, are highly encouraged to apply for this role on a BIBO basis. Depending on the successful candidate and the candidate’s location, the role can also be offered on a FIFO roster from either Townsville or Brisbane with accommodation on site.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and ancillary equipment

- Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard

- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer bases systems

- Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards

- Carrying out pre-start checks

- Effectively work and communicate with other team members to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines

- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently

- Must have a “Can Do” attitude and safety conscious at all times

Qualifications

- Australian Trade Certificate (Mechanical Engineering Trade)

- Experience working on Civil / Mining projects.

- Strong Diagnostic and Fault finding experience

- White Card.

- Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology highly advantagous

- Pass Pre-employment medical and National Police Check.
