We are thrilled to offer the exciting opportunity for a charismatic and professional medical student to join us as a Program Consultant at Contour MedPrep. Equipped with comprehensive training, you'll be there to welcome aspiring medical students and their families in 1-on-1 video consultations, getting to know their story and goals, and guiding them towards informed enrolment decisions in Contour’s industry-leading UCAT, Interview and Admissions programs.

This isn’t just any tutoring or administrative role. As Australia’s fastest-growing and highest-scoring medical preparation program, our enrolments continue to triple annually, and thousands of aspiring medical students come to us looking for support. Often, these students are daunted and overwhelmed by the complexity of getting into medical school, and are eager to hear how exactly we can help. This is where you come in as a vital member in our vision to reshape medical preparation, supporting students throughout their free trial and enrolment process with proactive follow-ups and check-ins.

Our UCAT & Interview programs are characterised by engaging group lessons, abundant resources and 24/7 support, as well as industry-first initiatives such as Australia’s first Simulated UCAT Testing Centres and Free 1-On-1 Admissions Consultations. Our students achieve record-breaking UCAT results, including the World Record UCAT Score of 3590 (2023), a 3060 Median (2024), 1 in 2 score 90th Percentile (2024), and 43 x 99th Percentile (3350+) students (2024).

Over 2000 students and 100 team members have joined us since our founding. In 2024, we successfully expanded our in-person Live Testing Centres to Brisbane and Sydney, with over 1000 bookings, and hundreds of new enrolments from all over Australia. In 2025, we now have permanent in-person centres in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and in April we expanded to Perth and Adelaide with free events for hundreds of students. What you'll do

- Conduct engaging 1-on-1 Welcome Consultations via Zoom with prospective students and parents, introducing Contour’s UCAT and Interview programs and guiding them to trial lessons.
- Proactively follow up with trial students via phone, text, and email, answering questions and offering support.
- Facilitate ongoing engagement with Contour MedPrep services, including the Interview Program, UCAT Course and other paid services.
- Drive ongoing growth by conducting friend referral calls, re-enrolment conversations, and cross-subject referrals.

Relationship Management & Customer Experience

- Build trust-based relationships with students and parents, empathising with their unique challenges and clearly demonstrating the value of Contour’s programs.
- Maintain timely, proactive communication, ensuring a seamless enrolment and support experience.
- Uphold Contour’s Core Service Values by prioritising student success and a high-quality experience.
- Provide ongoing student and parent support through check-in calls where needed, addressing any concerns or potential issues proactively.
- Manage challenging conversations effectively, resolving complaints or unenrolment requests positively and professionally.
- Complete Contour’s comprehensive training to master sales techniques, communication skills, and detailed knowledge of program offerings.
- Actively participate in weekly team meetings and training sessions to continually refine skills and stay aligned with the organisation’s objectives.

Personal Requirements

Mandatory:

- Education: Studying Medicine or Dentistry in Australia (or already graduated). Completed the UCAT.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, tutoring, or related roles preferred.
- Passionate & Engaging: Able to motivate and inspire students.
- Committed & Reliable: Ability to meet weekly work hour commitments (16 hours per week).
- Growth-Oriented: Eager to learn, improve, and contribute to Contour’s mission.

Ideal (but NOT Mandatory)

- Completed VCE, HSC or QCE
- UCAT Score in 90th Percentile or Above
- Satisfying and fulfilling work helping students succeed
- Primary focus is on providing an excellent 1-on-1 student/parent experience

Expected Work Hours

- Average of 20 Hours/Week in November, December and January
- Minimum of 16 Hours/Week during all other months
- The weekly schedule is flexible (within reason), as for each week, you can set your own availability for consultations. The main restriction is that, outside of school holidays, all calls and consultations must be after school hours or on weekends, as students are unavailable during school

Compensation

- $40/hour + Super
- Fixed Sales Bonuses for Student Enrolments
- Note: Considering typical bonuses, total hourly pay typically ranges from $45-$55 per hour
