Our client, a highly respected business with strong international ties and an established reputation across Asia-Pacific, is seeking a Sales Specialist to join their growing team. This is a rare opportunity to represent a unique and tightly held product with premium positioning both in Australia and abroad.
Based in the Greater Geelong region, this role will see you play a pivotal part in driving sales growth, developing new business, and maintaining long-term client partnerships across local and international markets. You will act as the face of the business, representing the brand at trade shows, industry events, and through regular client visits both domestically and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with both domestic and international clients.
- Drive new business development while also managing and growing existing accounts.
- Represent the company at trade events, exhibitions, and in-market meetings to promote the product and strengthen brand presence.
- Undertake regular travel, including multiple interstate and international trips each year, to engage directly with clients and partners.
- Act as a trusted commercial contact, providing market insights, product expertise, and tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Collaborate internally to support new product initiatives and value-added opportunities.
- Monitor market activity and competitor trends, reporting insights to inform commercial strategy.
About You
- Demonstrated sales experience within export and/or domestic B2B environments.
- Industry background in premium agricultural products is highly desirable (meat or seafood strongly preferred).
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese or Vietnamese is essential for building effective relationships across Asia-Pacific markets.
- Located in, or able to commute to, the Greater Geelong region (onsite role).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently across different cultures and markets.
- A passion for high-end, culturally significant food or luxury products.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience working with Asia-Pacific markets.
- Exposure to product development or value-added initiatives within food, agriculture, or luxury consumer goods.
