The OrganisationYou will join an iconic international bank with progressive footprints and organic growth in Australia, in their well established Risk Management team. This role is a Mat Leave Cover until June 2020 with the view to extend.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Update the Branch's Operational Risk Policies and Procedures with regards to regulatory updates and risk management principles

- Implement risk management framework and relevant policies and procedures intoBAU

- Update and monitor the Branch's risk limits in accordance with principles stated in relevant policies (e.g. Operational, Incident Management, etc.)

- Monitor risk management activities and conduct risk workshops as per schedule

- Conduct half-yearly operational risk assessment, identify and rank prominent operational risks of the Branch

- Assist the business units in developing risk profiles, and design appropriate controls

- Review and assess potential risks associated with new products and processes

- Assist Department Head to coordinate with external parties (such asAPRA, internal and external auditors.)

- Maintain documentations and prepare monthly reports to Management and Committee

- Other ad-hocworks when required

Requirements

- 3-5 years' experience in an operational risk & controls (Line 1, 2 or 3),preferablyin Australian Banking / Big4 consulting firms

- Tertiary qualified or above in finance/business

- Good updated understanding ofAPRAand other regulatory requirements impacting a foreign ADI's operation

- Detailed knowledge of principles, practices, theories and concepts relating to operational risk management

- High attention to detail, with demonstrable autonomy and teamwork

- Speaking and reading proficiency in both English & Mandarin isessential
