This is a remote position however candidates must be in AZ. Phoenix or Tucson areas highly preferred but will consider other areas in AZ.

OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY

The Paralegal-Transactions is responsible for assisting the Legal Department in all phases of legal transactions, including contracts, grant agreements, financial transactions, real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with all stages of mergers, acquisitions, and transactions, including due diligence, managing closing checklists, drafting and reviewing legal documents, collection and review of documents from external departments, and providing support to internal parties and outside counsel as needed.
- Draft, review, analyze, and execute a wide range of contracts and agreements.
- Perform and collect due diligence information as needed for evaluating third parties to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain Legal Department files, including litigation files, affiliate and subsidiary files, and contract files, in an efficient, accurate, and organized manner.
- Assist with maintaining Legal Department systems, including Legal Tracker and HighQ.
- Review, process, and respond to subpoenas and requests for information received from law enforcement, governmental agencies, law firms, and other external parties.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Three to five (3-5) years of experience as a paralegal working in a legal environment with two to four (2-4) years of experience as paralegal working on contracts, real estate transactions, and/or mergers and acquisitions.
- Associate’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required.
- Experience managing a high volume of work and complex legal matters.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Demonstrated diplomacy and ability to offer dissenting points of view in consistently constructive and positive ways.
