APS conducts all pathology testing for multiple hospitals, offering a comprehensive range of services through five specialized units: Anatomical Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, and Human Molecular Pathology.
APS is committed to education and professional development, providing excellent learning opportunities for students and clinicians. Staff benefit from supportive leaders, state-of-the-art equipment, and the chance to engage in interesting and complex work. The service also collaborates with various research institutions.
Alfred Health and Monash Health have established a partnership and are delivering pathology services at Western Health (WH), which includes collection centres, branch laboratories at New Footscray Hospital and Sunshine Hospital and point-of-care services. We are working in partnership to ensure we meet future demands and continue to provide high quality pathology services for our patients and the community across both health services.
