As a Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll make an impact by:
- providing financial accounting and statutory reporting services for the Group including the preparation of the audited annual report
- coordinating and completing supporting disclosures for Group and Bank financial statements
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors ensuring compliance obligations are adhered to
- reviewing of subsidiary financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and consistency across the Group (where appropriate) and providing technical support to others across the team
- displaying a positive team attitude and willingness to assist others within the team/division as required, ensuring we meet all deliverable timeframes
- drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and the automation of financial processes

This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 60% of your time per week in the office.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or related discipline
- Current membership in a related professional accounting body (e.g. ICAANZ, CPA)
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations relating to statutory reporting including the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A high level of problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective two-way communicator, keeping others informed whilst asking questions to understand overall business unit needs
- A passion for continuous improvement, ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing demands is an essential component of the role
- Arithmetical, data analysis and advanced excel skills
- Previous experience in statutory reporting in a listed organisation
