Senior Analyst, Personal Banking Risk and Compliance
The Distribution Governance team engages a variety of stakeholders within Banking and Financial Services to ensure effective governance and compliance across the Broker network. Our team works closely with various teams in the ecosystem, senior stakeholders and our distribution partners to embed strong risk management practices.
At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.
What role will you play?
As a Senior Analyst or Manager in the Distribution Governance team, you will have the opportunity to undertake a range of responsibilities. These include identifying and assisting in driving process and policy improvement opportunities both within the team and across Personal Banking, as well as monitoring and investigating distribution partners by analysing data and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders. You will manage escalations, which may involve engaging and consulting with stakeholders across Banking and Financial Services, and prepare regular operational and management reports to support the effective communication of results and business activity.
Additionally, you will drive regulatory change implementation activities to ensure Personal Banking responds appropriately to upcoming changes, identify opportunities to innovate and execute value‑add initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes, and engage and develop relationships across Personal Banking to support cross‑collaboration and ideation. Finally, you will advocate for and enforce a risk mindset across the Personal Banking ecosystem.
What you offer
- A demonstrated desire to learn, solve unfamiliar problems, and build on existing knowledge of retail financial services and/or risk management fundamentals.
- High level of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines while navigating competing priorities.
- An inquisitive mindset that seeks understanding by asking questions and finding answers.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Experience in managing programs of work and operating with agile ways of working, showing adaptability to evolving priorities.
We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us. If you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
