Council seeks an experienced health professional to join our People and Culture leadership team as the Leader Employee Health and Wellbeing. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about supporting people through strategic, proactive, and empathetic health and wellbeing solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and inspire a team of specialist professionals across workers compensation, wellbeing, fitness for work, return-to-work, and mental health support.
- Develop and deliver innovative, preventative, and evidence-based health and wellbeing strategies tailored to a diverse workforce of both indoor and outdoor teams.
- Partner with leaders and employees to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture that values both physical and psychological wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, Codes of Practice and legislative requirements, while driving forward-thinking initiatives that improve employee experience, resilience, and engagement.
To be successful, you will be:
- A qualified health professional (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist, or related discipline) OR have experience with health and wellbeing programs including supporting workers compensation cases.
- A strategic thinker who can balance operational priorities with long-term wellbeing planning, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Empathetic, approachable, and skilled in engaging with employees at all levels across a wide range of professions and environments.
- Confident in leading a close-knit team and building strong partnerships across the organisation.
- Passionate about embedding wellbeing as a core part of organisational culture.
This position has been classified as a Grade 18 with a salary range of $105,077.21 to $113,702.33 per annum plus superannuation for 35 hours per week.
Flexible working arrangements, including a 9 day fortnight will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
