Architect/Draftsperson

GEM Resourcing is recruiting for experienced Architects and Draftspersons to join respected practices across Perth. With roles available across Heritage, Residential, and Commercial projects, these opportunities offer exposure to diverse sectors while contributing to high quality, design led outcomes.

About the Role

We are seeking candidates with a passion for architecture and documentation to support the delivery of projects across a variety of sectors. These positions will involve working on design development, construction documentation, and coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors.

You will play a vital role in ensuring projects are designed, documented, and delivered to a high standard, while also contributing to planning submissions and approvals. These roles are ideal for candidates who enjoy technical accuracy, attention to detail, and seeing projects progress from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate drawings, reports, and documentation for a range of projects.
- Support design development and contribute to project planning.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and stakeholders to support project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with NCC, BCA, and relevant Australian Standards.
- Assist with submissions and approvals for local councils and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain a collaborative approach within the project team.

Requirements

- A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a recognised Drafting qualification.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in ArchiCAD (essential) and InDesign (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in preparing drawings and documentation packages.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and planning requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full Australian working rights and be based in Perth.
