The Opportunity
Peregian Springs Country Club is a large retirement living community, home to 230+ independent living villas and assisted living apartments. Working closely with the Chef Manager, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced and friendly environment to prepare and deliver high-quality meals to our residents. You'll be a great communicator, enjoy being hands-on with kitchen preparation and enjoy supporting residents' well-being. If you have experience as a kitchen hand, Cook, Chef or any experience in a kitchen, come and join the Peregian Springs team

This is a casual role, helping our team on an ad-hoc basis with covering leave or when we need an extra pair of hands All shifts are during the day, no early starts or late finishes.

You will

- Prepare, cook, present and deliver meals as per menus and schedules
- Ensure the kitchen is adhering to all OH&S standards
- Manage stock - stock rotation, stocktake etc.
- Manage the maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Work with fellow Food & Beverage or Cook/Chef staff to ensure smooth operations

What you'll bring

- Experience in catering/kitchen/hospitality settings (e.g as a Kitchen Hand, Cook or Chef)
- Food Safety Certificate OR Certificate III in Commerical Cookery (desirable, not essential)
- A friendly and warm persona with a passion for food and chatting with residents
- Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
