About the Role
As the Unit Secretary for the Vascular Department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a busy, dynamic team. You will provide a professional and confidential secretarial and reception service, supporting the management of the department while maintaining a highly organised and welcoming office environment. Your work will be essential in helping the team deliver high-quality care to patients.
This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, coordinating day-to-day workloads and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department. You will be valued for your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time. It’s a rewarding position where your contribution directly supports patient care and departmental excellence.
About You
You are a highly professional and organised individual with strong administrative and interpersonal skills, capable of supporting a busy team and managing multiple priorities with discretion and efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with experience in clerical, secretarial, and administrative duties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage courteously with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, including scheduling, prioritising workloads, and servicing committees.
- Demonstrated tact, discretion, and integrity, with knowledge of confidentiality procedures and medical terminology.
