Overview

Are you a passionate and experienced Care Manager ready to lead with purpose in a values driven aged care organisation? Respect Aged Care is currently seeking a committed Registered Nurse to take on a 6-month contract leadership role at our Peace Haven home in Launceston, with full-time availability required to meet operational demands as needed.

The Opportunity

The Care Manager will play a critical leadership role in delivering clinical and operational excellence. Reporting to the Facility Manager, this role is responsible for:

- Planning, assigning, and overseeing staff duties and resident care delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
- Providing strong leadership and mentoring within a resident-focused environment.
- Managing human, material, and financial resources efficiently and in line with budgetary guidelines.
- Supporting a positive team culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Leading and contributing to continuous improvement and accreditation processes.

What You’ll Need

- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and current registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential aged care.
- Proven nursing management experience.
- Sound clinical knowledge aligned with contemporary best practices.
- Strong understanding of aged care legislation, accreditation standards, and funding instruments (e.g. ACFI).
- Experience with accreditation and quality processes.
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
- Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.

Desirable

- Completion of Infection Control Training.
- Availability to flex into full-time hours as required.
