The position offers flexible working opportunities and a supportive, inclusive team.

What you'll do

Based in Brisbane, you will contribute to both operational excellence and transformative change within one of Queensland’s most significant public sector portfolios. - Undertake work packages for infrastructure management transformation projects with timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Serve as a link between stakeholders during the implementation of new asset management models and improvement activities.
- Provide strategic advice to senior executives on infrastructure asset management matters.

What you bring

To succeed, you will have substantial experience in large organisations shaping asset management policies, frameworks, strategies, plans, or systems. You will be adept at reviewing custodianship models and developing plans for capital renewal or maintenance using data standards and hierarchies. You should be collaborative, capable of translating complex requirements into practical actions, and able to work with building-related assets or contribute to business transformation efforts. Relevant academic credentials or industry certifications are helpful but not mandatory if offset by demonstrable expertise.

- Extensive experience in infrastructure asset management within large-scale organisations, including policy development, framework design, strategy formulation, planning, and system implementation.
- Experience defining Asset Custodianship Models across the asset lifecycle.
- Experience developing Asset Management Plans and capital renewal/maintenance planning using data-driven insights.
- Strong background in defining asset data standards and hierarchies for information governance and digital enablement.
- Experience analysing complex data sets, processes, or systems issues related to asset management in multi-faceted environments.
- Desirable: experience managing or supporting building-related assets or infrastructure in education or similar sectors.
- Desirable: leading or contributing to business transformation or continuous improvement in low-maturity organisations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build collaborative relationships.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with the ability to deliver routine tasks and innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., degrees in Engineering, GIS, Business, or Finance) or recognized certifications (Asset Management Council, IPWEA) are highly regarded but not mandatory.
