Overview Health Visitor, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse The closing date is 06 November 2025 Job responsibilities The post holder will be a qualified Health Visitor. You will work autonomously as part of the Integrated Early Years Service (Health Visiting & Family Support) managing a designated caseload of children and families, in order to improve their health and enable them to reach their full potential. You will work collaboratively with other agencies to provide high quality care to children and families. Child protection work will involve gathering and analysing information to make informed assessments, appropriate referrals and participating and contributing at case conferences and core group meetings. You will support public health initiatives in line with local and national priorities which promote, protect and improve the health of the population and reduce health inequalities. About us Our Health Visiting service in Camden is part of a well-developed partnership with the London Borough of Camden Early Year/'s Service and we are presently implementing a new universal pathway for all families in the first 1001 days. Camden is one of the early implementers of FamilyHubs, which brings additional funding for services for families in the first 1001 days (conception to 2 yrs) and encourages services for families with children of all ages to be brought together as part of a Family Hub network. Person Specification Skills and Knowledge - Able to communicate with the multi-disciplinary team, present cases, take note of actions, update others in the team and use handover effectively. Speaking face to face but also by telephone and writing letters and reports. - Maintaining accurate, timely, concise and legible clinical records both electronic and handwritten which adhere to the CNWL policies - Work well with other members of the team including communicating effectively, being kind and considerate, reliable and enthusiastic - Manage others and contribute to the management of the team - Mentor, teach and support others in the team Qualifications - Registered Nurse [NMC Registered] - Registered Specialist Practitioner Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) - Evidence of relevant Continuous Professional Development - Nurse Prescribing Qualification Previous Experience - Experience of working with complex families - Experience of multi-disciplinary integrated team working - Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing demands and methods of working both individually and within a team. - Knowledge of Safeguarding Children issues - Caring for the people who use our services, their families and carers, and other staff - Respectful of others and genuinely treating them how you would want to be treated - Able and willing to work with service users, family and carers, and other staff in a way which empowers and supports others and makes them feel better about themselves - Able and willing to work in partnership with service users, their friends and family as well as other health care professionals Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
