Overview

Yarra Leisure is seeking energetic, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Group Exercise Instructors to join our growing group exercise program in Melbourne. This casual position offers opportunities to deliver current fitness trends using the latest equipment and technology, and to contribute to a positive team culture within our three modern leisure centres.

Schedule, Compensation and Location

Casual - Band 3A + 25% - $40.97 p/h + super, plus Class Allowance between $46.48 – $70.48 (class dependent). Class styles we are recruiting for include Aqua, Deep Water Running, Mat Pilates, Spin, Yoga, Meditation, Tai Chi, and SwimFit Coaches for Adult Swimming Exercise. Roles available across Fitzroy, Collingwood and Richmond sites.

Responsibilities

- Deliver enjoyable, safe and fun group exercise classes across our timetable.

- Support a positive team culture and deliver high-quality group fitness experiences.

- Provide a broad range of group exercise classes to a diverse participant base.

- Utilise the latest equipment and technology to support class delivery.

- Contribute to ongoing program development and maintain professional standards.

What You Need to Apply / Qualifications

- Ability to deliver engaging, safe and fun classes and contribute to a positive team culture.

- CPR and First Aid certification; Working with Children Check.

- AusActive Registration or equivalent, or willingness to attain.

- Current qualification specific to the application exercise styles.

- Desire to participate in City of Yarra funded development and training opportunities (online and live); CPR, First Aid and CEC courses are funded.

Key Selection Criteria

- Describe your experience and ability to lead enjoyable, informative and productive exercise classes.

- Provide an example of how you increased class participation and occupancy.

- Describe your commitment to ongoing professional development and maintenance of industry certifications.
