The Role

White Peak Digital is looking for a Web Designer with proven expertise in WordPress and Shopify to join our talented Brisbane team.

This role is perfect for a creative problem-solver who can confidently deliver website projects from concept to launch, blending strong design sensibilities with technical development skills.

A Day in the Life of a Web Designer @ White Peak

Your typical week would include:

- Collaborating on and executing website designs in Figma, translating client briefs and strategic goals into compelling user interfaces
- Building responsive, high-performing websites in both WordPress and Shopify, utilising page builders (like Elementor) and custom HTML/CSS to deliver pixel-perfect results
- Designing custom website assets using the Adobe Creative Suite, including icons and banners, to enhance visual appeal and user experience
- Working closely with our Production team and clients to refine designs, manage feedback and implement technical solutions
- Troubleshooting and providing ongoing support for existing client websites, ensuring optimal performance and functionality

About You

- 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar web design/development role
- A strong portfolio showcasing your UI / UX design and development work
- Demonstrated proficiency in building custom websites with WordPress and Shopify
- Deep expertise with WordPress page builders, particularly Elementor
- Proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong skills in HTML & CSS
- A solid understanding and practical application of UX & UI principles to create intuitive user journeys
- Exceptional communication skills and a meticulous eye for detail
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, Google Analytics and the technical aspects of web performance is highly desirable
