Mid-Weight Web Designer (Shopify & WordPress)

Fortitude Valley, Brisbane (near the train station)

$70k–$80k + Super (based on experience)

I'm working with a long-standing Brisbane-based digital agency that's growing their design team and looking for a talented Web Designer with strong Shopify experience.

This is a full-time role based in the studio (with flexibility to work from home 2 days a week once you're settled in) and an exciting opportunity to design across a mix of eCommerce sites, marketing campaigns, and broader web projects.

You'll join a collaborative team of designers, marketers and developers who care about creating websites that not only look great but also deliver real business results.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing engaging, conversion-focused Shopify websites – from wireframes and mockups through to polished page designs.
• Creating and customising Shopify themes in collaboration with developers.
• Working on WordPress designs and updates, ensuring a consistent and high-quality visual experience.
• Partnering closely with developers and marketers to bring designs to life and ensure the finished product matches the vision.
• Producing assets for campaigns, landing pages, and ongoing client retainers.
• Technical skills to trouleshoot issues that come up with custoimers websites (wordpress & shopify).

Skills we're looking for:

• Strong experience designing for Shopify, including an understanding of how design choices impact usability and conversion.
• Good knowledge of WordPress and experience designing for CMS-driven websites.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop or Illustrator.
• A solid understanding of web fundamentals – HTML and CSS knowledge is a plus.
• Bonus points if you have experience in eCommerce design and can share examples where your work helped improve user experience or sales.
