About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Application Engineer - Controls to join our Sales Engineering team based in Chipping Norton, NSW. In this pivotal role, you will develop to becoming the subject matter expert and support the sales department in the application of Daikin controls products into projects. This position will also be instrumental in driving business growth by leveraging your expertise to meet customer needs and maintain Daikin’s market-leading position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engineering and Controls Support: Providing expert-level technical support and solutions for Daikin's equipment and controls. This involves product selection, responding to technical queries, and developing and maintaining technical documentation and application tools.
- Training and Development: Creating and delivering engaging workshops, technical presentations, and seminars for our sales teams and key customers on engineering principles and Daikin's control solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with our State Sales teams, Product/R&D, Engineering, and Service departments to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards.

About You

You are a passionate and commercially minded engineer with a strong background in controls and technical sales. You thrive on solving complex problems and enjoy building lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need:

- A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in HVAC solutions, technical sales support, or a similar sales-oriented role.
- Occasional interstate and international travels as required.
- A solid understanding of control systems fundamentals and the ability to interpret and translate technical designs into practical product solutions.
- Experience with reading and interpreting technical plans and tender specifications.
- Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver clear and compelling presentations.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, clients, and suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
