Job Description

- Source and acquire supplies and services needed for the company's operations.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers in the Resources industry.
- Regularly review performance of suppliers and ensure consistent supply chain management.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing.
- Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure all procurement tasks are done efficiently.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Purchasing Officer should have:

- A strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a similar field.
