About the role

CNV currently has two newly created positions available:

- Safe, Thriving & Connected Children’s Therapeutic Clinician – 0.7 FTE
- Safe, Thriving & Connected Children’s Therapeutic Clinician – 0.8 FTE

Located in Bendigo, these roles are fixed term to 30th June 2028, with part time hours available between 0.7 – 0.8 FTE (26.6 – 30.4 hours per week). These positions are part of a visionary consortium of specialist organisations working together to ensure safety, recovery, and empowerment for women and children across the Loddon region.

As a Children’s Therapeutic Clinician, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic services to children and young people who are victim-survivors of family violence. You’ll work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team to assess needs, develop treatment plans, and facilitate healing through individual and group interventions.

What You’ll Do:

- Provide trauma-informed therapeutic support using modalities such as EMDR, play/art therapy, and narrative therapy.
- Conduct specialised assessments and develop tailored therapeutic treatment plans.
- Collaborate with care teams and stakeholders to ensure integrated, culturally safe service delivery.
- Support group programs and facilitate transitions to community supports.
- Contribute to program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

About you

- A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in therapeutic work with children, young people, and families.
- A strong understanding of feminist principles and the gendered nature of family violence.
- Commitment to cultural safety and inclusion, especially for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and diverse communities.
